Course Subject, Number and Title: ISyE 348: Introduction to Human Factors Engineering Lab
Course Description: This hands-on laboratory course provides students with practical experience in human factors engineering principles and methodologies applying concepts discussed in I SY E 349. Through a series of experiments and a project, students will explore the interplay between humans and technology in various contexts (workplace safety, human technology interaction, and other complex systems), focusing on safety, optimizing performance, and user experience. This includes understanding human characteristics from the cognitive, physical, and psychosocial perspectives.
Credits: 1 credit
Requisites: ISyE 210, ECE 331, STAT/MATH 309, 431, STAT 311, 324, 371, MATH 531, PSYCH 210, or SOC/C&E SOC 360, or concurrent registration, graduate/professional standing, or member of Engineering Guest Students
